Kayden's 2!

Today was Kayden Grace's second birthday. It started with Daddy and I getting Kayden up and dressed. Then Daddy made Kayden "birthday pancakes" and put a jar candle in front of her so she could blow something out (we didn't have any birthday candles!). After sister took her morning nap, we went and picked up Daddy at work then went to the mall for lunch. During the girls' afternoon nap, Kayden got flowers and balloons from Grandpa Roy and Grandma LeeAnn (Thanks so much!!!) The balloons were the first thing Kayden noticed when she woke up. As you can see in the picture she has had a blast playing with them. We took her to Red Robin for dinner and then to Carvel for ice cream. She ate the ice cream so fast she almost acted drunk by the time it was done. Hillarious!!! When we got home, Kayden opened a gift from Nanna (a princess tea set and a baby bottle) and had so much fun playing with them before bedtime. She also got to play with Nanna's camera, which was a big treat for her. Before bedtime I checked my email and found one from Grandpa (my dad). He sent Kayden an e-card and she got to watch it on the computer. Overall, I would say it was a good birthday for Kayden Grace. We will be having a big party next weekend so there will be more pictures to come...

On a side note: Kayden went poopy and pee-pee in the potty all day long! She told me all day when she had to go. Wouldn't it be great to have a potty trained child and a child no longer drinking formula?? I think so!

Wow I can't believe that she is two...it seems like yesterday that she was just a baby and now she is becoming a big girl. Congrats on the potty training! Thank you for sharing the pictures and how she spent her day. It means so much to me to know how she is doing and what is going on with all of you. I really enjoyed all of the pictures and stories about your vacation too. We are glad that she enjoyed the balloons. Your posting of her at the birthday party in Colorado definatley lead to the decision to send balloons given how much she enjoyed them there. Wishing you all a very blessed weekend and a Happy First Mother's Day to you Jenn. From a mommy in waiting last year to having two beautiful daughters today. God is good.
Love & Blessings,
LeeAnn

Happy First Mother's Day!!!! What a wonderful birthday celebration for Kayden Grace. That tea set has been a favorite around here for awhile now too :) P.S. How's the knitting coming?
